As an ex-butcher, I know what good meat looks like, feels like, and tastes like—and Cleaver Meats absolutely delivers on 3rd order now. I've tried plenty of online and local butchers over the years, but this place stands out for consistently high standards. The lamb is exceptional: tender, well-marbled shoulders with that rich, grassy flavour you only get from properly hung and sourced animals. No strong off-notes, just clean, juicy meat that cooks beautifully—perfect for roasts. Their pork is another highlight. The steaks are beautifully trimmed and full of flavour without being overly fatty. I've grilled their pork ribs (My own BBQ marinated), and they've been succulent every time—great marbling and no dryness, even when cooked to proper doneness. And the steaks? Ribeyes, sirloins, and fillets are spot-on: generous marbling, aged just right for tenderness and deep beefy taste. They sear and rest like a dream—no toughness, no gristle surprises. Portion sizes are honest, too. Everything arrives perfectly packed, chilled as needed, and the value for money is brilliant for this level of quality. If you're serious about your meat and want butcher-standard cuts without the hassle of visiting in person, Cleaver Meats is the real deal. Highly recommend—I'll be a regular from now on! I have tried the rest of the online butchers, but this is the one I'm sticking with. I had a problem signing up. Cleaver's staff was so helpful, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Gary
